Benefit to the Community

NEYSO provides extensive health and wellness benefits to the San Antonio community by offering soccer programs year-round for children ages four through nineteen. There are many benefits to providing athletic programs for youth in the community. NEYSO volunteer coaches teach teamwork and life lessons through soccer. Athletic activity is a great way to fight childhood obesity as well. During registration periods, NEYSO will begin attending numerous community outreach events by visiting local schools to promote soccer for all children, regardless of financial status or skill level.

NEYSO works closely with the San Antonio City Parks and Recreation office, but is not subsidized by the city or funded by taxpayer dollars in any way. It is through donations, grants, community and local support that NEYSO is able to expand and grow to better serve the San Antonio.
